code.verzh.eu: terms, in short
- What it is. A private Gitea for a few invited people, run by one person (verzh.eu)
on a rented server in the EU. Free and non-commercial.
- Accounts. Made by the admin on request; nobody can sign up. Two-factor sign-in is
required. Git works over HTTPS with an access token; there is no git over SSH.
- No guarantee. Best effort: it can be down or slow, and maintenance can happen
without notice, though it is announced when planned.
- Backups. A dump every night on the same server, and the hosting provider's copy of
the server's disk from the last 24 hours. Neither is tested by a restore yet. Keep your own
clone of everything that matters.
- Your data here. Your repositories, issues and settings; your user name and e-mail
address; the server's logs, which can show the address you connect from. An audit log records
account and repository changes for 365 days; older backups can keep them longer. The admin can
technically read everything on the server, and does not share it.
- Webhooks. They go only to public internet addresses. Delivery is not guaranteed: a
failed hook is not retried, so your server should also poll.
- Leaving. Ask the admin and your account and repositories are deleted. Copies inside
older nightly dumps stay until those dumps are removed.
- Not allowed. Anything illegal, malware, attacks on other systems (including through
webhooks or mirrors), and sharing your account. The admin may suspend an account that does
this.
- Contact. The person who invited you.
